Intangibles are what connect us. Great expression!

Joy dies when you measure life in inventory rather than memories.

Owning objects provides a fleeting sense of security, but it does not generate long-term fulfillment. The pursuit of material goods often serves as a distraction from a lack of genuine engagement with the world.

A life defined by what you buy is inherently less stable than one defined by how you live.

You've reminded me, how I've always felt sad, even as a child, for kids that grew up deep in the city, without trees to climb, salt water to dip in, or meadows to lie in and contemplate the clouds.

This is a beautiful foundation to build from. You have a natural rhythm already observant, grounded, and honest and that’s not something that can be taught. If you ever feel unsure where this newsletter is going, you could let it follow moments like this: memory, place, feeling, and what it quietly reveals about the world today. You don’t need to define it yet just keep writing from lived experience. That’s where readers recognize themselves.

You captured something I think a lot of us feel but forget how to say. That childhood is a texture, not a timeline. Saltwater, sunburns, unstructured days. Your worry is real. Kids are inheriting a world measured in screens instead of moments. This piece is a reminder that the richest lives are the ones lived closest to the earth. Beautiful work.

Sun screens for phone screens… great sum up for the generation who find social interactions awkward and communicate only when they want something. I feel this poem from your perspective of actually living a true life. ✍️👏👏👏

this was a great read and I just subscribed!! the way you describe your childhood in detail helps with visualization and I agree, more and more emphasis is being placed on having physical objects (esp ones that convey status)

You truly touched my heart.🌹

In today’s education models, children are forced to forget their own childhood. It breaks my heart to see them grow up deprived of imagination and stripped of their natural joy.

As an art therapist, I begin every workshop with a “reconnecting with your inner child” meditation.

Some participants even struggle to remember their childhood at all.

wow that’s really cool job if you didn’t mind sharing what a daily day looks like for you? totally agree, thank you for your time and insights.

**Thank you so much, Chloe.✨

A “daily day” for me is a gentle blend of creativity and holding space for others.

Some days I prepare mindful art workshops — choosing colors, shaping tiny paper forms, creating a calm atmosphere. Other days I work individually as a Bach Flower Therapy practitioner, using the remedies to support emotional balance and inner clarity.

Every workshop begins with a short “inner child” meditation, and throughout the day I guide people through small creative rituals to help them reconnect with themselves.

And in between all of that, I try to keep my own sense of wonder alive — through nature, tea rituals, or simply slowing down with my daughter.

It’s a heartfelt path, and I’m grateful you asked. 🌿

wow i love this! i'm learning about the value of simplicity as well, it's a beautiful concept in a world that promotes having all these materialistic things and spending so much money.

yes, it’s hard to find people who aren’t completely wrapped up in material things.

Scott Stillman does an awesome job of advocating for a life close to nature. I see you have been reading him. I have a feeling the years ahead are going to move more in this direction you are writing about Chloe because it’s just so real, true, and available in fun and healthy ways. I think these stories value of it will be more and more evident.

This wonderful world we live on

will still be amazing even if humanity harms it.

We are mamals!

Those kinds love games ,seek n hide and ruled by emotions.

Blessed days will be

where we (as humanity)will use technology for the societies

and the purpose of LOVE.
